Africa’s future will not be shaped by aid alone — it will be shaped by transformed leaders. Leaders who act with integrity, purpose, forgiveness, and agency. Leaders who can guide families, congregations, workplaces, and communities into a future grounded in dignity and possibility. The ALT Foundation is building these leaders at scale — and we invite you to partner with us in this work.
ALT is a volunteer-led organization powered by people who believe in Africa’s potential. Many women and faith changemakers who graduate from our AWLC and CLFC programs choose to stay on as volunteers, serving as facilitators, coordinators, communicators, and curriculum contributors. They do so because volunteering is leadership in practice — it is how they remain on the court, sharpen their purpose, and build deep community with others who share the work.
Individuals partner with ALT in transformative ways. Some become monthly or once-off donors. Others “pay forward” - the gift of leadership - by funding seats, especially for women who cannot afford it: refugees, teen moms, unemployed graduates, and community workers. Many alumni introduce the course to friends, family, colleagues, and congregations, creating a ripple effect that multiplies impact far beyond one classroom. Your contribution — whether large or small — directly fuels scholarships, digital access, facilitator training, and the expansion of leadership education across 11 African countries.
Organizations, too, are essential partners in this mission. Universities, seminaries, NGOs, and faith institutions have funded vulnerable women to attend AWLC; others register their staff or beneficiaries into AWLC and CLFC to strengthen leadership capacity internally. Several institutions have invited ALT to deliver in-person interventions, where our model of accessible, contextualized, action-based learning equips their teams with tools for ethical decision-making, mental wellbeing, restorative conflict resolution, and community transformation.
As ALT expands into youth leadership, climate leadership, and AI-augmented learning, we are seeking partners who want to shape Africa’s leadership landscape for generations. Funding is not charity — it is investment. Every contribution enables leaders who go on to transform families, congregations, communities, and institutions.
Whether you are an individual or an institution, partnering with ALT means investing in leaders who multiply impact — leaders who will shape an Africa that works for everyone.
